During the three-day Hackathon, solve problems and come up with unique ideas that can disrupt the insurance industry. This Hackathon competition has two Problem Statements:
- Problem Statement 1: Website Traffic Management System. How might we track and utilise website data so we may understand and predict customers preference towards insurance products?
- Problem Statement 2: Public Data. How might we personalise product approach and engagement with customers by utilising social media data?
All participants will learn about the state of the insurance industry, brainstorm ideas using Design Thinking, and hack over the course of three days to construct a prototype that tackles an industry pain point. 1337 Ventures and FWD will hold office hours and mentoring sessions, as will community partners such as Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI).
“We’re hosting this hackathon in the hopes of attracting innovative problem solvers who will shake things up in this legacy industry. Come put your wild ideas to the test with us, and with the support of our mentors, we’ll see if we can convert them into a sustainable business.” says Bikesh Lakhmichand, CEO & Founding Partner of 1337 Ventures.
